What makes Fighting Back interesting and really helps it to stand out from the rest of the movies in this cycle is Thomas Headly Jr.’s script, which makes no bones about the fact that Tom Skerritt’s John D’Angelo is a racist and his bigoted ways at least partially factor into his vigilante quest.
