- First Day of Diwali Festival – Dhanteras (10th November 2023 Friday) The first day of Diwali is marked as Dhanteras ( Dhanatrayodashi or Dhanvantari Trayodashi) – “Dhan” means wealth and “Teras” is the 13th day of a lunar fortnight on the Panchanga.
