Having tracked down one man responsible for his partner’s death, Johnny Hart (Rod Cameron) rides into Red Horse seeking the other. What he finds first is a very lovely and very feisty saloon owner named Lorena (Yvonne De Carlo) who declares herself boss turkey in her establishment.

After eluding a posse, escaped convict Jonathan Hart rides into the town of Red Gulch, where he quickly attracts the attention of the townspeople. When asked what he is doing there, Johnny tells the local magistrate, Judge Prescott, that he is looking for the man who killed his partner.
Johnny Hart (Rod Cameron) is on the run from the law after killing one of the men who shot his partner. He passes through a town and stops at a saloon owned by singer Lorena Dumont (Yvonne de Carlo).
