The Futaba AETR order is the most used by oldschooll pilots as it's probably the original order, and even with free channel assignation it's used by those pilots because they can identify a connector origen at a glance without lables, following leads, etc.

The Spektrum modules for Futaba/Hitectranslate the channel mappings to the JR/Spektrum standard of throttle,aileron,elevator,rudder. If you use the MZ module with a transmitter that has the older Futaba mappings, the aileron, elevator and rudder will come out on different pins on the Spektrum receiver.

That's whats confusing me. As you know spekky radios typically reserve “channel one” for the throttle signal, as it would be mated to the PWM out labelled thr or ch1 on spekky receivers. Futaba (AFAIK) typically default to aeil as the first channel, so that can be confusing when moving from one system to the other.

If you replace a Futaba receiver with a JR receiver but keep the same transmitter, nothing changes as far as channel sequence is concerned.
