Gordon MacRae (March 12, 1921 – January 24, 1986) was an American actor and singer, best known for his appearances in the film versions of two Rodgers and Hammerstein musicals, Oklahoma! (1955) and Carousel (1956) and movies with Doris Day like Starlift.
Gordon MacRae was a prolific actor who created a name for himself largely on the big screen. MacRae's early acting career consisted of roles in various films, such as the biopic "Look For the Silver Lining" (1949) with June Haver, "Backfire" (1950) and "The Daughter of Rosie O'Grady" (1950).
