He is known for producing the feature films Martha Marcy May Marlene (2011) and Simon Killer (2012), and for writing and directing James White (2015).
Mond is a co-founder of Borderline Films. Borderline films had a first look deal with Fox Searchlight for three years starting in 2011. Currently Josh Mond is in post production on his new film, It Doesn't Matter, as the writer/director. The film stars Christopher Abbot and Jay Will. It’s rare for him to talk about himself and his work as the writer-director of his debut feature, James White , in the first person. Instead, he constantly refers to the enigmatic “we,” ostensibly in reference to his two co-producers on the film, Antonio Campos and Sean Durkin.
