Kate holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in painting from the National Art School and resides in Sydney. Her artwork is seeks to create abstract compositions that are very unique, although there is always a familiarity from the natural world that grounds the painting and creates an instant recognisable relationship for the viewer.

Nielsen, a graduate of The National Art School Sydney has been exhibiting in Australia and the USA. This online exhibition, her first as an associated artist with Nanda\Hobbs, includes works selected from the last eighteen months in the studio. Sydney based Kate Nielsen is an artist with a deep love of the interior world.
The paintings themselves are a gathering of bright, eclectic pieces themed around interiors. Kate’s exhibition ‘From Home – Interior Views’ will be an exhibition of her new recent works in an online solo show, but will also be exhibited here at Purple Noon Gallery through December and January.
