I liked it, but it wasn’t that cathartic experience as other people suggested. Perhaps the fact that I was constantly trying to see the “message behind the film” somewhat disrupted my experience. Maybe I should just feel the film, not trying to draw parallels with my life all the time.

Review. Kiki’s Delivery Service definitely feels like one of Miyazaki’s lesser-talked about films, but it’s also one I have a very strong relationship with. It’s a film I enjoy more and more every time I watch it and over time, I think it’s become one of my absolute favorites.
