Lassie is an American television series that follows the adventures of a female Rough Collie dog named Lassie and her companions, both human and animal. The show was the creation of producer Robert Maxwell and animal trainer Rudd Weatherwax and was televised from September 12, 1954, to March 25, 1973.

Lassie: With Corey Sevier, Michael Yarmush, Susan Almgren, Tim Post. Karen Cabot moves back to her old hometown, Hudson Falls, VT, with her son Timmy. There she runs a veterinary clinic. Timmy, her son, finds a dog, a collie. He names her Lassie, and they get into all kinds of trouble.
Lassie battles the wild dogs for her injured friend, hides him in a cave, obtains food for him by springing a trap, and leads the hunters away from him before accompanying him back to the ranger station where he finds a new home.
Lassie is the pet of Jeff Miller, an 11-year-old farm boy. The two become best friends and enjoy family adventures in the American countryside, teaching each other about love, nature and commitment.
