Tomlinson met the woman who would become his wife, LaTorsha Oakley, at TCU. She was a Gates Millennium Scholar, a program of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for outstanding students of color. On their first date LaDainian talked a lot about his mother, which LaTorsha took as a good sign.
