When I first saw the infinity franchise and realized how the folds work, I assumed this was just a complicated meta-commentary on how RPG rules work. You get XP from defeating enemies, enough XP you level up, you learn new skills though leveling up, and the next level you reach requires more XP.
I'm not too sure what you're on about but I'll try to explain. I'll break this down into an in-game and textual analysis. The Infinity Franchise "began" when the jerseys where dug up, anyone who wore them became agents of the franchise, everything after that is irrelevant.
