Carved out by erosion when ice age glaciers melted, the Lost River Gorge is a great spot to discover some of the geologic past of Kinsman Notch. The Lost River runs through a narrow gorge, where you’ll find waterfalls and countless cascades pouring over the rocks.
Experience this 0.6-mile loop trail near Woodstock, New Hampshire. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 21 min to complete. This is a very popular area for birding, hiking, and walking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are May through October.
