Skinny Molly is an American southern rock band from Nashville, Tennessee, United States. The band was formed in 2004 by guitarist/vocalist Mike Estes (guitar player for Lynyrd Skynyrd and Blackfoot), Dave Hlubek (guitarist and founding member of Molly Hatchet) and drummer Kurt Pietro.
Mike Estes is an accomplished professional with a multifaceted career that has spanned various entertainment industries. He began his career as the front man of the Ferocious punk rock band, Virus Nine, during the late 90s and early 2000s.

Welcome. Skinny Molly was founded by guitarist/vocalist Mike Estes (formerly of Lynyrd Skynyrd and Blackfoot) original Molly Hatchet guitarist Dave Hlubek and Nashville, TN studio drummer Kurt Pietro who also played drums for Blackfoot.
Hall and Custer were replaced by Mike Estes and Owen Hale, respectively, both of whom performed on the 1994 album Endangered Species.
His stint as Blackfoot’s vocalist in 2006 makes him the ultimate backup singer for Skinny Molly, while many past shows alongside Mike – including several acoustic duo tours – mean he’s the perfect wingman.
