He is perhaps most famous for his roles in the telenovelas: O Clone, América, Por Amor, A Favorita and Avenida Brasil. In the early 1990s, he began his career in the telenovela Fera Ferida, in a recurring role portraying Fabrício.
When participating in the telenovela O Clone, she fell in love with actor Murilo Benício. They started a relationship in 2002 and on 24 May 2005, Antonelli's first child, and Murilo's second, Pietro was born. In November of the same year, the couple separated.
