The character of Janosz Poha, portrayed by Peter MacNicol, was originally called Jason and serves as a straight man to the Ghostbusters. MacNicol said the role could be played by anyone so he opted to give Poha a backstory in which he is Carpathian. Peter MacNicol. Janosz Poha (also known as Dr. Janosz Poha) [1] [2] was the head of the Restoration department of the Manhattan Museum of Art. He was Dana Barrett 's boss and had an unrequited crush on her. He was also made into a servant of Vigo under his mind control, until the Ghostbusters freed him.
