NLS is the only legal services organization in Nevada with a federal mandate to spend a portion of our funding on a Pro Bono Program. NLS must expend 12.5% of our federal Legal Services Corporation funding on Pro Bono activities each year. NLS serves the entire state from offices in Reno, Carson City, Elko, Yerington, and Las Vegas.
The Pro Bono Project coordinates private attorneys who generously volunteer to provide free legal assistance to individuals who cannot afford an attorney. We need YOUR help to accomplish our mission of preserving access to justice for all Southern Nevadans. Getting involved in public interest law is essentially life changing.
