Jan 15, 2007 · Has anyone here built a Robb White Sport boat? Its a rather intriguing design that definitely has almost every good quality one can think of for inland waterways and protected briny areas.
Jul 1, 2004 · Regular readers of MAIB may know that Robb White and sons have been threatening to offer plans for a strip-planked version of the old Grumman Sport Boat, a well-proven 16-foot skiff with a 43-inch beam. Said to plane with two adults and a 4 hp motor. Well, they've done it.
Jan 16, 2017 · #1. Robb White Sport Boat build. 01-16-2017, 11:49 PM. Going for it. Here is my old Grumman Sport Boat: Just about perfect for my needs, this one was +/- 1980 production. Been caribou hunting with my sons. Been camping with the wife. Works pretty good with the 4 stroke Honda 5 on there, tops out at about 11 mph. I have some housekeeping to do.
Dec 12, 2010 · #1. Robb White Sport Boat. 12-12-2010, 09:20 PM. Over the weekend, I started working on the transom for Robb White's version of the Sport Boat. So far, I have the transom cut out and one layer of 4 oz. fiberglass added. I made the transom out of salvaged redwood that I have on hand.
