After weeks of training in the Russian mountains, and after an initially reluctant Adrian arrives to support him, Rocky is ready to take on Drago. Unlike the match with Apollo, Drago comes out on the offensive and pummels Rocky for the first round and much of the second, until Rocky manages to cause a deep cut below Drago's right eye.
Plot. In 1985, Russian boxer Ivan Drago arrives in the United States from the Soviet Union with his wife, his trainers and his manager, Nicoli Koloff. Koloff takes every opportunity to promote Drago's athleticism as a hallmark of Soviet superiority.
