Standing Bear Lake is a 135-acre lake in northwest Omaha, named after the Ponca leader Chief Standing Bear. It offers picnicking, boating, hiking, biking, fishing and wildlife viewing opportunities.
I've been to Standing Bear lake, and even though it's near a housing development, you'd think your out in the country! The lake area is huge, plus trees abound & there's plenty of picnic areas to choose from.
