During the winter months, the Stemple Pass Road is plowed in its entirety, but visitors will have to snowmobile or ski in the final 4.5 miles. There is plowed parking available at the Stemple Pass cross country ski area.

Trail Overview. The Stemple Pass road is a quick and scenic escape route to the small mountain town of Lincoln, Montana. The road, while it is well maintained, does have things of which to be cautious. Loose gravel and numerous blind corners could be concerning to those on two wheels.

The Stemple Pass Ski Trails are a system of 4 basic ungroomed connected ski trail loops that provide opportunities for beginner and intermediate cross-country skiing. 2 km of easiest, 20 km of more difficult, 10 km of most difficult trail; no grooming. Parking available for 40 vehicles.
