  1. Dr. Caruso is a professor who is very passionate about his work, which in turn made you feel passionate about the class. This class was adjusted into a bioinformatics format (more like 316L) for the pandemic. As long as you went to class, you would be fine. A lot of work outside of class though. The final was difficult, but it was curved.

The worst thing that can be said about his is that he takes a while to grade work, but he will always provide feedback if you ask him. If you have the chance, take a class with Prof. Caruso.   3. Grade: A. Textbook: N/A. Dr. Carlson is the best professor in the Microbiology Department at OSU by far. He genuinely cares about his students and listens to feedback. He is professional and knowledgeable while creating a relaxed classroom environment where students feel comfortable to participate and ask questions.
