6/10. SUBSUNK rescue. Jim Tritten 20 March 2004. Enjoyable inter-War military adventure drama featuring the U.S. Navy submarine service. Based upon the story "Submarine 262" by Frank "Spig" Wead, who wrote a number of similar screenplays highlighting various parts of the fleet.
Submarine D-1: Directed by Lloyd Bacon. With Pat O'Brien, George Brent, Wayne Morris, Frank McHugh. Navy officers fall for Ann. She has her own plans. USS Pensacola is struck during a last dive drill, there is an attempt to rescue. The USS Dolphin (D-1) and her crew depart from Connecticut to San Diego via the Panama Canal. They come into troubles.
