An unscrupulous head of a pyramid scheme selling face cream, dies during a stage infomercial interview. One of the salespeople he swindled, Hal, is blamed for the murder. Ben takes the case despite Hal's lack of funds.
•Three endings were filmed, each revealing a different character as the actual murderer. When the episode aired on NBC-TV on 16 February 1988, viewers were given the opportunity to call a 900 toll number and vote for the killer. All you had to pay was fifty cents and the suspect with the most calls was the murderer, and the proceeds were donated to charity.
•All three endings are available on the DVD.
