Critics for the movie were overall positive for its visuals and interesting subjects while it is criticized for its historical inaccuracies and simplistic romanticism. Peter Debruge praised the film for being "a hearty historical epic that pits intellectual progress against the stifling influence of world religions". [6]
Very short review: 1- Historyically all wrong and a total fiction. 2- Good movie to watch (forget about the history anf think as if Ebn Sina is a marvel character!) 3- Many errors in the movie like Isfehan location and view, peoples races and faces, languages and ofcourse mr.

Oct 6, 2015 · The Physician is a solid enough film, with all actors providing decent performances, although nothing that will stick in the mind once the credits stop rolling. Visually the film is very impressive and gives a great sense of time and place, and the fundamental premise is interesting, but the film is let down by the script’s inaccuracies.
