The Secret Path (or "Chasing Secrets") is a 1999 American television biographical drama film directed by Bruce Pittman which aired on April 4, 1999 on the CBS network.
It is based on Rose Mary Evans' 1994 autobiography, "Childhood's Thief: One Woman's Journey of Healing from Sexual Abuse."
Set in the rural South, the film tells the story of Jo Ann Foley, a neglected and abused young girl who is taken in by a caring African-American couple.
