In July 2022 Samoa Breweries announced it would cease brewing Vailima in Samoa and move production to Fiji. Using the brewery’s own strain of yeast, Vailima Lager is allowed to ferment at up to 15.5°C for one week to ensure our beer retains maximum flavour. The Master Brewers are able to achieve a lighter taste by converting the natural sugars in the malt to alcohol.
