West Branch State Park offers a large campground with more than 200 sites and numerous amenities including a beach and boat launch. Pets are permitted on all sites. Reservations may be made up to six months in advance online or by calling (866) 644-6727.
Visitors to West Branch can traverse the park's woods and meadows by foot, bike, or horseback via miles of scenic trails, including a link to the statewide Buckeye Trail. The landscaped marked by a large stand of beech-maple woodlands harbors a variety of plant and animal life.
There are so many fun things to do at this park; hiking, biking, frisbee golf, sand beach, playground for kids, camping, and more. I launched my kayak at the Rock Spring Road launch just south of route 5. There is plenty of parking and plenty of room to drive up to the water and take your time (during the week anyway).

Situated on the glaciated plateau of northeastern Ohio, the park's 5,379-acres of meadows and woodlots provide an excellent backdrop for camping, hiking and horseback riding. The West Branch area contains numerous bogs filled with buttonbush, alder, skunk cabbage and swamp white oak.

This is a nice park and wasn’t over crowded on July 4th. We went boating, fishing, and water skiing. Good ramps.
