Founded in 1961, Westminster is an independent, college-preparatory, coeducational Christian school serving students from preschool through grade 12. There are approximately 600 students enrolled in grades 9-12.
Westminster students are challenged to excellence by our rigorous academic curriculum in an environment that also nurtures their relationship with Christ. We serve 1,280 students from preschool through 12th grade on our beautiful 31-acre campus.
Westminster offers an array of academic courses and signature programs that challenge high school students academically and prepares them to be ambassadors for Christ. Students may choose from 27 Advanced Placement (AP) courses, over 40 electives including band, drama, and art, and more than 35 clubs and organizations.

More than sixty years ago, a small group of dedicated Christians sensed a calling to start a school characterized by excellence and devoted to a biblical philosophy of education. Westminster Christian School opened its doors on September 6, 1961, on the grounds of Shenandoah Presbyterian Church.
