In Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal, the Goldenrod Gym is a maze of flowers and ornaments in the shape of a Clefairy, a then Normal-type Pokémon. The player must navigate their way around the pink-floored Gym by going around the wall of pretty flowers first then entering the middle section. The Trainers in the Gym are hard to avoid and most of them must be battled in order to reach Whitney. Whitney will be located in the middle of the Gym where she can be challenged to earn the Plain Badge....

Whitney is the Gym Leader of Goldenrod City in Johto, specializing in Normal-type Pokémon. To access her gym, you need to get the Radio Card from the Radio Tower and speak to her.
Whitney is the third gym leader you can challenge again in HeartGold & SoulSilver. She is missing from the gym in the afternoons and you can find her in the Goldenrod Dept. Store. She uses Normal-type Pokémon like Bibarel, Lickilicky and Clefable.
There is a Whitney look-alike in the Generation III Pokémon Contest audiences. She is the first Gym Leader to primarily use Normal-type Pokémon. In HeartGold and SoulSilver, during the first battle, her Clefairy's ability is Cute Charm, however, during the rematch, her Clefable's ability is Magic Guard, but it should still be Cute Charm.
