Located on a ridge rising steeply above the Kickapoo River, the park has 6 miles of cross-country ski trails groomed for both classic and skate skiing. Winter activities include snowshoeing, hiking, camping and visiting the Ice Cave.
The park has more than 20 miles of trails that can be hiked, a nature building and many scenic vistas. The park has two compass orienteering courses developed by an Eagle Scout. The long course is 1.33 miles and the short course is 1.05 miles. Compasses may be checked out at the park office.

Wow, what a fabulous state park tucked into this high hills area of Wisconsin! The vista's are amazing, grounds beautiful and well kept, the staff very informed and friendly. The Kickapoo river is down below and canoe rentals are easy.
