May 8, 2024 · The 40HP Vanguard compared to the 37HP on my other Cheetah has a very noticeable difference in power as well as fuel consumption. Substantial overkill for me but I wanted the upgraded suspension seat and it was the only way to get one.
Jul 17, 2004 · I know the Kohler 27 & 28 and the Kawasaki 27 & 29 don't compare in power to the 31 Vanguard, not even close. im not saying that the 29 kawi is wicked powerful but it is rated in the fx block serries @ 53 ftlbs that is really good. the 29 hp dfi kawi is 44 ftlbs which is in the same class as a 27 kohler etc. my 34hp kawi is a strong motor i am ...

Jun 20, 2008 · Re: 1993 Vanguard Barretta. I have a '96 Vanguard Barretta. I bought it used in Kamloops in 2002. First time out I blew the motor (70 hp Johnson) and replaced it with a 2002 Yamaha 75. It's been a good boat for fishing and taking the kids tubing.
