A Gun Fightin' Gentleman is a 1919 American Western film directed by John Ford and starring Harry Carey. Because only three reels of originally five or six are known to exist, this film is considered a partially lost film.
Synopsis. Cheyenne Harry, owner of the biggest cattle ranch in his corner of the west, is having trouble with John Merritt, a land-grabbing Chicago meat-packer. By some artifice of shrewd legal aid, Merritt manages to seize Harry’s ranch under a bogus writ of foreclosure.

Another very early John Ford movie. This one is half lost and the print I watched is in pretty terrible shape, so I can't say I particularly enjoyed it. As far as I can tell there isn't even slightest resemblance of Ford's later movies here. This could have been directed by pretty much anyone.
