In "Partners in Crime", the unlikelihood, in fact the absurdity, of the stories comes close to parody. Worse, AC seems not to take herself seriously here. Her married couple are ludicrously aping detectives of the past in a clear parallel to the Agatha Christie's own imitation of crime writiers of the past.
