   Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School is named in honor of the first Bishop of Brooklyn, John Loughlin (1853-1891). The school band performed for the funeral procession of President Abraham Lincoln in 1865. We were the first Catholic high school to arrive in Brooklyn. In fact, Loughlin is one of the first (or oldest) high schools in all of NYC.
