The Earl of Pembroke is Hereditary Visitor of Jesus College, Oxford. The statutes of the college say: "The Right Honourable the Earl of Pembroke and Montgomery is the Hereditary Visitor of the College". This started with the 3rd Earl, who became the first Visitor of the college in 1622.
