Currently, CVS Pharmacy locations offering the COVID-19 vaccine to eligible populations have either the Moderna or Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. Patients can see which CVS Pharmacy location has which vaccine and appointment availability on CVS.com before scheduling.
Starting Saturday, November 20 nearly 10,000 CVS Pharmacy locations across the country will be able to offer a Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna COVID-19 booster dose to all adults ages 18 years and older who have completed primary vaccination with any authorized COVID-19 vaccine.
The Pfizer-BioNTech bivalent COVID-19 booster is authorized for use as a single booster dose in people 12 years old and up. A patient can choose to receive either the updated Pfizer booster or the updated Moderna booster, regardless of which company’s primary dose series or booster vaccine they received previously.
