     It is not too difficult to draw the finite automaton. The small letters are the states, the capital letters are the input symbols.

     State "s" is the start state.

     From there the word is started with B and ends in state "x".

     From "x" the input can be A or B or C and leads to state "y".

     From "y" the input can be A or B or C and the lead back to "y". The input C is particular because it can/must be the last symbol of the word. So A simply ends in a finish state (which is not explicitly mentioned in the rules).

     The automaton would look like this:

     The regular expression that recognizes the discussed language is as follows:

     B[ABC][ABC]*A - or shorter - B[ABC]+A

     In this case it was simple (especially the first regular expression) to see the correspondence between the automaton and the regular expression.

     Divyesh's answer is almost correct also, he drew a deterministic automaton. You just have to remove the transition to q4 and it's ok.

     I think this works:

     a - 0010b - 0011c - 0100d - 0101e - 0110f - 0111g - 10000h - 10001i - 10010j - 10011k - 10100l - 10101m - 10110n - 10111o - 11000p - 11001q - 11010r - 11011s - 11100t - 11101u - 11110v - 11111w - 00000x - 00001y - 00010z - 00011

     It is unambiguous. If a symbol starts with two or fewer zeros, it is of length 4. If it starts with a 1, it is length 5. If it starts with 000 then it is also length 5.

     I got the idea by starting with a through h being length 4, using 0 as the first symbol. However, a scheme like that is short two symbols (if length is predicated entirely by the first symbol), so I looked for a way to reduce the number of four symbol codes by two... and noticed that 0000 and 0001 were the only two that had a triple0. Two bits give you four characters and the rest is an unambiguous encoding scheme :)

     6 * 4 + 20 * 5 = 124

     or alternatively

     4 + 16 + 6 = 26
