Two facts were wrongly combined, first that Hogwarts was inspired by Fettes College and second that Harry Potter texts were written in a Cafe. But this is this little red Cafe “Elephant House” in old town of Edinburgh, far from Fettes College.

    • Nicolson’s Cafe (now Dun Dun Delicious, formerly Spoon) Address: 6a Nicolson Street, Edinburgh EH8 9DH. Harry Potter Connection. Nicolson’s Café was one of the places where J. K. Rowling as a newly divorced single mother wrote parts of her first Harry Potter novel, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
