George I (German: Georg Fürst zu Waldeck und Pyrmont; 6 May 1747 – 9 September 1813) was Prince of Waldeck and Pyrmont from 1812 to 1813.
The County of Waldeck (later the Principality of Waldeck and Principality of Waldeck and Pyrmont) was a state of the Holy Roman Empire and its successors from the late 12th century until 1929. In 1349 the county gained Imperial immediacy and in 1712 was raised to the rank of principality.

In 1625, the much smaller County of Pyrmont became part of the much larger County of Waldeck through inheritance and the combined territory was known as the County of Waldeck-Pyrmont.
