Overall, Gran Bollito, to say the least, is an unusual drama but with compelling performances by Shelley Winters and Max von Sydow (in drag), this might be worthwhile to those looking for the weird. My Rating: 3.5 out of 5. Never heard of or had any knowledge of this film. Another one of those blank slates going into this. This is an Italian thriller/horror black comedy from 1977. Titled Black Journal. Directed by writer director Mauro Bolognini. Bolognini created many memorable foreign films.
