Nov 18, 2011 · It’s a busy time of year for parents interested in HISD’s magnet program. Schools across the district are hosting informational sessions, and parents are weighing the many options available to students through the program, which comprises more than 100 schools with unique focuses, such as fine arts, STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math), foreign language, and even aviation.
Application Information. Before completing a magnet application, you will need to ensure that your child has a student identification number with Broward County Public Schools. You may secure the identification number from your child's home boundary school or any public school in Broward County. Incomplete applications will NOT be processed.
The 2024/25 Phase 1 application window closed February 2, 2024. Application requests received by the deadline, 2/2/24 11:59 pm, will be honored & processed as on-time complete applications. Check your status during the week of March 4-8, 2024 to find your final application results if you applied by the December 1, 2023 deadline on time.
