Jeff regularly hits Tonya. You applaud when she physically retaliates. Tonya's mother stabs Tonya with a steak knife (throws it). TONS of cursing.

This movie has quite a bit of swearing, there is abuse and violence between Tonya, her mother, and Jeff (boyfriend/husband) it is a movie everyone should watch at least once in their lifetime. I think this movie would be appropriate for a mature thirteen year old at the least.
