Intrepid Pictures was founded in 2004 by founders and co-CEOs Trevor Macy and Marc D. Evans. Macy served as the sole CEO until 2019, at which time Mike Flanagan joined the company as a partner. Flanagan left the company in 2024 to form Red Room Pictures, leaving Macy once again the sole CEO.
