Jun 12, 2020 · In the film Apostle, the mysterious nature of Erisden's goddess, the village's rituals, and the creature known only as the Grinder, require some explanation. The film's main character, Thomas ( Dan Stevens ), infiltrates the island in search of his sister, Jennifer, who was kidnapped and is being held for ransom by the island's founders.
Quinn knows that any offspring born on the island will be mangled. Quinn, who is completely unhinged at this point, cuts the child out of her. Then, he pins her murder on Jeremy, who is innocent.

Oct 12, 2018 · Some people will consider “Apostle” incoherent, but it’s the eagerness to deliver an exact vision that I admired about this strange, frightening work. In an era when more and more films feel focus-grouped to death or designed to sell toys, it can still be refreshing to see one that it is so completely the crazy brainchild of its creator.
