Sep 27, 2023 · Teams from the ESB and Cork County Council are out in force cleaning up after today's terrible weather. A number of flights to and from Cork Airport were cancelled, with many sending in videos of huge waves striking the south coast as high tide hit at 4.30pm. Even throughout the terrible weather though, emergency services were hard at work.
Oct 19, 2023 · Extreme flooding in Midleton. It was an extraordinarily difficult time for communities across Cork today as Storm Babet left streets, homes and businesses flooded. There were widespread emergency responses throughout the day with a number of evacuations carried out in some areas of the Rebel County, with Midleton the worst affected.
