First-Time Freshmen will be considered automatically for merit scholarships upon admission to JSU. Merit scholarships cannot stack with Leadership or JSU Honors Scholarship, but can stack with competitive and talent based scholarships.

The Jacksonville State University Piano Area offers scholarships by audition and interview. Most scholarship awards are for students majoring in piano, but occasional awards are given to non-majors. Scholarships are awarded to deserving students who demonstrate a high level of musicianship and playing ability.
