Kelsey Munro is a writer, researcher and journalist from Sydney, and the co-creator, producer and writer of the original Stan comedy-drama Bump. Bump received critical acclaim and was the most-watched debut on Stan at its release in January 2021. It has screened on the BBC (UK), the CW (US) and HBO Latin America, and been renewed for five seasons.

Karvan, 48, plays Angie, Oly's mother, but she also produced the series. "Kelsey Munro, the other creator — we've created it together — her original idea was sort of loosely based on a story of a friend of hers whose teenager had a baby very young," Karvan said of the inspiration behind Bump.
