  2. Oct 2, 2019 · From these films, it would seem the most accurate is 2004's King Arthur with Clive Owen. Arthur is actually a (half-)Celt here and he fights off a Saxon invasion, even if the ridiculousness of Sarmatian knights fighting with him cannot be taken seriously.

  3. Hurray for historical accuracy. Anyway, "historical accuracy", "true story"... these are hardly worth carping about. It's enough that King Arthur really does want to be in some way true to the setting where the historical Arthur, if he or somebody like him did exist, would have lived.
