For larger battery pack ( 10Ah or larger ) , please always use a smart charger with temperature sensor to avoid over heating which may cause the accident. Suggest you charging all EMP batteries and packs at least every three months, otherwise batteries will reduce capacity or die completely .

Dec 19, 2020 · #1. I own a 1999 Lee Iacocca e-bike, 24 volt. It is currently using two 12-volt lead-acid batteries. Is it possible to replace the lead acid batteries with lithium ion batteries? How would I charge these new batteries? Is there some kind of adapter that would allow me to charge these batteries while they're still in the case? Doc995. New Member.
Jun 14, 2018 · It is 100% stock except that I replaced the stock 24v, 10ah lead acid battery pack with a 24v 7ah LiFePO4 battery. The battery went from weighing over 20 pounds to about 5. Nov 25, 2009 · (The old OEM SLA charger was not a smart charger anyway and cooked many a battery pack) There is a load on the battery even when the ebike is turned off, so many a user took the battery in/out every day. Be aware of this when configuring your Nicad pack, and make it easy to take out, or put in a big 25 amp 24v switch.
I have a Lee Iacocca eBike (like this one) with a bad battery; I'm looking for advice on getting this thing working. So far, I took apart the battery and this is what I found: 36 cells in 9s4p configuration, apparently Samsung 18650 or similar green cells. With a universal Li-Ion charger, 19 cells will charge to 3.97v - 4.01v.
