    Leon Ichaso was a Cuban-American director.

    Ichaso was born on August 3, 1948, in Havana, Cuba, to a family of writers, artists, and journalists. He immigrated to Mexico and then the U.S. with his mother and sister, eventually settling in New York. His father initially stayed behind in Cuba to support the Cuban Revolution, but joined his family five years later. As an adult, Ichaso became a filmmaker, with his first work being the indie Spanish-language film El Super, which was released in 1979. This was followed by another feature film six years later, Crossover Dreams. Since then, Ichaso has worked on episodes for several TV shows, as well as a number of made-for-TV films.

    On May 22, 2023, in Los Angeles, California, at 74 years of age, Ichaso passed away following a heart attack.

    Ichaso directed the following episodes for the Criminal Minds franchise:
